2003 KATE Summer International Conference Jung Eun-Hae Dance Company's Performance Dance Director Eun-Hae Jung, D. Sc. Professor, Dept. of Dance Chungnam National University 1. Salpuri - a Dance of Exorcism Performer: Yeo-Jin Yun As one of the most fascinating of all Korean folk dances, the traditional shamanism as well as the regrets of our people's emotions are melted in the dance. The special feature of the dance is 'Chung-Choong-Dong', the stand in the movement and the movement in the stand. 2. Fan Dance Performer: Kum-Yong Lee, Kyoung-Won Kim, Kyoung-Won Jung, Hae-Sun Chang, Jin-Hee Lee, Ju-Yeon Park, Mi-Joung Kim A highlight of Korean dance forms which harmonizes extremities between art and nature, brightness and darkness, and living and perishing through the geometric composition of bamboo fans. 3. Delight Performer: Ki-Suk Kim, Jin-Young Joung, Ho-Hyun Lee This performance aims at showing national spirit and soul through the folk rhythm and interest aroused by drum echoes, first sounds of musical instrument invented by human being. |
