2015년 KATE 국제 학술대회가 7월 3일과 4일에 서울 K 호텔에서 개최됩니다. 특히 이번 행사는 KATE 50주년 기념 학술대회로서 큰 의미가 있는 행사가 될 것입니다.

이번 학술대회에서는 Jeremy Harmer(The New School), Diane Belcher(Georgia State University), William Grabe(Northern Arizona University), Eli Hinkel(Seattle University), James Purpura(Columbia University) 등 저명 외국학자들과 이완기 교수님(서울교육대학교)을 모시고 "Shaping the Past, Leading the Future of English Education in Korea: KATE 50th Anniversary" 라는 주제로 우리나라 영어교육과 KATE의 과거를 돌아보고 미래의 비전을 제시하는 열띤 학술 토론의 장을 마련하고자 합니다.
학술대회를 위한 발표 원고를 아래와 같이 접수하오니 회원여러분의 많은 참여를 부탁드립니다.

2015 KATE International Conference

 

Theme: Shaping the Past, Leading the Future of English Education in Korea: KATE 50th Anniversary
Date: July 3-4 (Friday-Saturday), 2015
Venue: K Hotel, Seoul, Korea
Proposal Submission Deadline: February 10, 2015

 - WonKey Lee (Seoul National University of Education)
 - James Purpura (Columbia University) 
 

The Korea Association of Teachers of English (KATE) is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2015 KATE International Conference.
 

Proposals which focus on the conference theme will receive initial consideration; however, all proposals on English language teaching including the following topic areas are welcome.
 

1. Approaches and Methodologies 2. Curriculum / Materials
3. Use of ICT in Language Teaching 4. International/Intercultural Communication
5. Material Writing and Design 6. Second Language Acquisition
7. English Language Testing 8. Teaching Young Learners
9. Language Policy  10. Other Areas in ELT
 

Types of Presentations
1. Research paper 25 minutes
2. Teaching demonstration 25 minutes
3. Poster presentation  60 minutes
 

Proposals must include both a 250-word abstract and a 50-word biodata. They must be submitted via email. Please use the attached form for your submission and email your proposal to Sang-Keun Shin at kateprogram2015@gmail.com by February 10, 2015
 

Presenters will be notified by March 10, 2015.
