Greetings from KATE, We are compelled to make this announcement regarding the current MERS virus outbreak in Korea. While the virus is being contained and circumstances are changing every day, the situation does not yet seem to be quite under control. As the KATE members’ and the conference participants’ health and well-being are our foremost concern, we have reached the difficult decision to postpone the 2015 KATE International Conference. We do not wish to endanger your health in any way and have taken every precaution into consideration. We also believe that even though the situation may turn for the better in the next couple of weeks, concerns will not be completely alleviated by the time of the conference. Therefore, it is in the best interests of everyone that we take this unprecedented measure. We sincerely apologize for the short notice and kindly ask for your understanding. The new date of the conference is as follows. Date: August 29 (Saturday), 2015 Venue: The K Hotel Please note that the conference will take place on one day. We will be keeping you updated about details regarding the conference as they come along. In the meanwhile, we ask you to please check the KATE website at kate.or.kr for developments. This situation brought about by unforeseen circumstances is truly unfortunate as we were looking forward to hosting you in July.
